Carolyn's third and final reader! We began this towards the end of kindergarten and picked it back up for first grade. Her reading has come so far! She sounds things out very quickly, often in her head rather than slowly out loud. The rules seem to come naturally now, and sometimes I'm not even sure she realizes that she's reading more difficult words! So pleased with her progress and will always hold a special place in my heart for these books, which taught all of my kids to read.
