I have read all the Frog and Toad stories with my 4.5 year old son and they are so enjoyable for both of us. And they can be so true-to-life. Whenever we struggle with self-control with sweets, we quote Cookies jokingly ("You can keep your will-power, I am going to bake a cake!"). Lobel's other books are fun too, but this is our favorite series! I am looking forward to when he can start reading it on his own since it is an early reader- level.
